Undergraduate TA
TA Experience
As an undergraduate teaching assistant in the Recreation Studies program I've had a great opportunity to share my experiences and expertise in climbing and backpacking. This experience has also been a tremendous chance to practice teaching and learning new methods of teaching and lesson planning in a structured academic environment which can be different from slightly less-structured camp or adventure programming environments. I TA-ed the Wilderness Living Skills (backpacking) and Fundamentals of Rock Climbing (indoor and outdoor experiences) courses.
