Trip Leading
I led 5 trips with Outdoor Pursuits at Ohio University from 2016-2017 ranging from weekend to week-long trips. Three backpacking trips in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky and two climbing trips in Kentucky. These trips have been great experiences working with students of all skill levels and a variety of ages in different environments. I was able to strengthen skills such as managing group dynamics and addressing medical issues and how they affect group goals. I've included a trip control plan from a week long backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail for reference.
