Outward Bound
At the Colorado Outward Bound School, I instruct backpacking, climbing, and mountaineering courses. I also support the programming with a variety of logistical needs.
Working on instructor teams of 2 to3, we teach skills of leadership, communication, teamwork, and social-emotional skills, while taking middle and high school students on challenging courses in the mountains for up to a month at a time.
Outward Bound courses have been shown to be one of the most impactful experiences of many student's lives when students are surveyed many years down the road. It is an incredible privilege to serve in a role where I am part of someone's life development.
The postings on this site are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views of COBS.
